Contributing to what eventually may be known as the Vancouver sound, Cyanotic join the line behind Devin Townsend/Strapping Young Lad and Andrew Staehling/Soulscar. Explosive rage turns into melodic calm with plenty of crunch and rumble all around. Strength in songwriting and dynamic is plain as day. The salient variance amongst the 14 songs is further proof of obvious talent and tenacity. Not at all surprising that ‘Move’ and ‘Waiting For A Martyr’ are being played during Xtra Loud on 104.9 XFM in British Columbia. Untold effort has been put into this album, not to mention a joyous poke at ‘80’s metal in ‘Whiskey Corvette’ and a hilarious lounge mockery ‘Input 3.1.’………………………………………………………..8/10
